SAT/ACT
These exams are standardized aptitude tests used to evaluate students for college admission purposes. Individual schools have different requirements. Research requirements for each school and/or program individually.
Note:
- 72% of colleges and universities adopted test-optional policies this year, and now some schools that implemented a one year test-optional policy are now extending that policy for the next 1-2 years.
- We recommend students take entrance exams at least twice, in the spring of junior year and in the early fall of senior year. Students may take the SAT as many times as they want, while the ACT can only be taken up to 12 times.
- Scores are usually available 2-4 weeks after the test date but the ACT can sometimes take up to 8 weeks.
